About Pasquotank County Court Records

Court records in Pasquotank County, North Carolina are spread across the Clerk of Superior Court, Superior Court, District Court, magistrates, the Sheriff's Office, Albemarle District Jail, the Register of Deeds, and statewide court systems. This private reference site organizes those official access points so visitors can distinguish court case files from jail custody records, marriage licenses, traffic citations, probate files, and state or federal records.

Why We Built This Site

North Carolina gives the public access to many court records, but the right office depends on the record type. Pasquotank County Superior Court handles felony cases, higher-value civil matters, and appeals from District Court. Pasquotank County District Court handles many misdemeanors, traffic citations, small claims, juvenile matters, domestic cases, and magistrate-related proceedings. The Clerk of Superior Court maintains the court files and acts as ex officio judge of probate for estates and guardianship matters.

Other records sit outside the clerk office. The Register of Deeds handles marriage licenses, vital record copies, land records, plats, and military discharges. Albemarle District Jail and VINELink cover county jail custody information. NCDAC covers state prison, probation, and parole records. NCDMV handles driver records separately from traffic court files. This site keeps those Pasquotank County and North Carolina distinctions visible.

What You Will Find Here

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. It is not part of Pasquotank County, the North Carolina Judicial Branch, the Pasquotank County Sheriff's Office, Albemarle District Jail, the Register of Deeds, NCDAC, NCDMV, or any federal court. There are limits to what a private reference site can provide:

  • We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on anyone's behalf.
  • We cannot issue certified copies of court documents, probate files, divorce judgments, marriage records, or vital records.
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific North Carolina statute applies to a particular case.
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, calendar, address, or procedure is current at the moment a visitor uses it.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. Pasquotank County court documents must come from the Clerk of Superior Court or another official custodian, not from a private website.

Search Partners

Some pages include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those providers set their own prices, run their own databases, and apply their own terms. When a search tool leads to a paid signup, this site may earn a referral fee. Those tools are not official Pasquotank County or North Carolina court databases and should not be used for FCRA-regulated decisions.
